At Sauvie Island (near Portland OR), we came across an osprey (aka seahawk) nest, with one of the ospreys standing guard above the nest.

Some of these photos are the osprey flying around with a hunk of meat in one talon. A few minutes later, a bald eagle came by, perhaps to steal some food (or maybe a baby chick) from the ospreys. The osprey chased the eagle around the nesting spot for a few minutes, and then the eagle retreated.
