lens creep fix for 18-200 lens

lens creep fix for 18-200 lens

Nikon 18-200VR lens tends to exhibit lens creep as it ages. An effective, inexpensive (about $5 last time I looked), and aesthetic fix is a customised adult size silicone rubber wrist band ordered from this website: http://www.wristbands-with-a-message.com

The advantage of the flat wide (7/16" or 12cm) band is that you can adjust the friction applied by adjusting the position of the wristband, which varies the band's overlap between the zoom ring and the fixed lens body. The band won't move or roll out of position.

Thanks to Kim Letkeman for the suggestion.
